Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Licensed Commercial Life & Health Insurance Agent to support a U.S.-based insurance agency. This is a fully remote, client-facing role that requires previous experience handling commercial insurance accounts, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal training.

The ideal candidate must hold an active California Life & Health Insurance License and have hands-on experience working with commercial clients, including quoting, policy servicing, renewals, and client communication. Experience with BenefitPoint and Vertafore is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize commercial Life & Health insurance quotes based on client needs and employee benefit requirements.
• Communicate directly with commercial clients via phone and email to explain coverage options, pricing, policy details, and benefits in a professional manner.
• Manage policy renewals, endorsements, eligibility updates, and other servicing requests for commercial accounts.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation within BenefitPoint, Vertafore, and other internal systems.
• Coordinate with carriers, underwriting teams, and internal departments to ensure quotes and policy changes are processed accurately and on time.
• Provide ongoing client support by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a smooth customer experience throughout the policy lifecycle.

Requirements

• Active California Life & Health Insurance License (Required)
• Previous experience handling Commercial Life & Health insurance accounts 
  
• Experience using BenefitPoint and/or Vertafore
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills to assist clients in the insurance process.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in sales is a plus, especially in a commercial insurance setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Project management tools: Experience with Asana, Trello, or similar tools is preferred.
• CRM or database management tools: Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar platforms.
• Operating system: Running Windows 10 or later, or an updated version of macOS.
• RAM: Minimum 8 GB.
• Internet speed: Minimum 25–50 Mbps.
